Our proposal in Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Our Proposal
Ted and I had traveled to Ocho Rios, Jamaica for a friends wedding in March 2009. It was Sunday, March 8th, the day after the wedding, and Ted wanted to book a complimentary photo shoot at our resort. We got ready to go get our pictures taken and Ted was acting a little strange, and went to the bathroom before we left. I heard him drop something, utter a couple cuss words and then a few minutes later he came out more nervous than before. Little did I know at the time, Ted had dropped the ring on the bathroom floor as he was tying it into his pocket. =)
We went around the resort with the photographer and I even joked halfway through them that it felt like we were taking engagement pictures. Once we got to the beach, we started walking towards the water and the photographer wanted us to hold hands, so as I grabbed ahold of Ted's hand, I felt something as his pinky and ring finger were holding it in the same hand I was holding (he didn't have time to switch the ring into his other hand before I grabbed his hand). Once we got back to the photographer, Ted asked her to give him a minute, and when I looked over to him, he was on his knee, holding the ring. He told me that he loved me and always would and asked me to marry him. It was the perfect proposal.
