Kayla was born on February 19, 1982 to parents Jim and Karen. She grew up on a small farm in rural Wilber, NE with her family. She has two sisters: Kara is the oldest and married to Roger, and Laura is the youngest and is married to Kellen. She also has two amazing little nephews, Quade and Kohen. Her father Jim is married to Marilyn and they live in the same house that she grew up in. Her mother Karen is married to Jeff and they live in Tekamah, NE.

Kayla graduated from Wilber-Clatonia High School in 2000 and then went to Southeast Community College for two years before transferring to Doane College in Crete, NE. She graduated from Doane College in 2005 with a BA in Business Management and a minor in Sociology. She then decided a year later that she wanted to go back and attended Doane once again to pursue her Masters. She graduated with her Masters of Arts in Management with an emphasis in International Business in December 2008.  She began working at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Lincoln, NE in March 2009.

She loves to curl up with a blanket and a good book or a good movie. She also loves hanging out with friends and family. She loves traveling, which started at age 16 when she was a foreign exchange student in Greece. She's been to Greece, Italy, Jamaica and numerous states in the US and loves the ocean and mountains. She would love to go white water rafting again and would like to try scuba diving, as long as Jaws stays away from her =)

Ted was born on December 9, 1980 to parents Ted and Diane. Ted grew up in Falls City, Nebraska and has an older sister, Erica, who is married to Chris. They have three adorable children, Drew, Mallory, and Cooper (who will be born January 8, 2010). His parents, Ted and Diane still live in Falls City.

Ted has worked for Bob Nohavec Plumbing for over 7 years and really enjoys his career as a plumber. He recently completed his Master Journeyman level exam and would love to start up his own business someday.

Ted is a huge Florida Gator and KC Royals fan. On Saturdays in the fall, you can find him cheering for the Gators and he can't wait for them to win another Championship. During the spring and summer, whenever he gets a chance, he makes the trip to KC to watch the Royals in the newly updated Kauffman Stadium.
